The National Trends and Services facet addresses the social inequities that persist in black communities throughout the United States. The Links, Incorporated is committed to raising awareness on economic, health, social justice, and other barriers that affect our quality of life. Our goal is to eliminate disparities in these areas for the betterment of our communities.

Programs

The Links, Incorporated has a long tradition of promoting and engaging in educational, civic and inter-cultural activities that enrich the lives of members of the Black community at large. The cornerstone of our service is our five programming facets — Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services. Through our facets, we implement programs and initiatives that address the most critical needs of underserved communities. Annually, we impact the lives of more than 3 million people at home and abroad.

We are continuing collecting items for the Humanity Women's Survival Kits for Africa. at the end of the year, the items collected will be packed and shipped to Africa. The items being collected are: toothbrushes and toothpaste, hand sanitizer, socks, shampoo, hair conditioner and combs, first aid supplies, new underwear, personal hygiene items, deodorant and perfume.

During the month of February, the International Trends and Services facet hosted it 1st International Tea honoring International Women's Day. It was held at the Aloft, downtown South Bend, Indiana. The theme was "#Embrace Equity." Dr. Maureen Zibo and Elisheva Salomon-Lerman were guest speakers. The Tea was well-attended with many countries represented.
